Make the Most of Your Drawers

Don’t let messy drawers slow you down, whether you’re working in the office or the kitchen. A basic drawer organizer can help save you time and effort when searching for what you need. Throughout your home, drawers in any room can benefit from a little help.

Use a drawer divider to sort toiletries or makeup in your bathroom, by creating smaller compartments within your bathroom drawer. This is a great way to speed up getting ready in the morning. Make sure you choose a drawer divider that is made of a material that can be wiped clean like plastic.

For knife storage that helps keep the blades sharp, try drawer knife storage with individual slots for each knife. This is a great option for a home with small children, since this keeps knives out of reach. Spice drawers can get messy, but with an drawer spice rack with angled ledges you can ensure that spices don’t spill and labels are readable.

Have an extra wide drawer with the contents rolling around? The expandable bamboo kitchen drawer tray from Stacks and Stacks allows you to fill the drawer so you really get the most out of your drawer storage. Made of environmentally friendly bamboo that is easy to clean, this tray is great for the kitchen where spills and crumbs can be difficult to clean up.

To help contents stay in place choose a drawer organizer lined with a nonslip material. A nonslip coating on the bottom also helps the organizer itself stay positioned in the drawer, important when using an organizer smaller than the drawer itself.

From post-it notes to pens and pencils, a drawer organizer provides slots and spaces for all your office supplies. Also great for crafting supplies, the junk drawer or even the garage, drawer organizers have as many uses as you can think of!

Drawers or not, there is a spice rack for you!

Hi everybody! I asked my pal Nicole to write about her favorite spice racks. Check out Nicole’s blogs – Garment Racks Blog and Room Dividers Blog.

Low on drawer space? This drawer style spice rack is the perfect option for someone who is low on drawer space but wants the convenience of a spice drawer.

The pull out trays are great because you can see what you are looking for instead of digging around. This feature is great for putting the spice rack on a higher shelf or cabinet out of the way.

This particular spice rack has three different shelves and can hold up to 50 spice jars depending on the sizes.

Now if you have an extra drawer that is begging to have spices in it, there is a spice rack that will work for you, too!

If your drawer is large enough, you’ll be able to expand the side trays for extra spice storage or even a few utensils.

This option holds a large amount of spice jars and they are all easily accessible.

Whether you have drawers or not, cabinets or shelves, none of the above or all of the above, there is a spice rack  for you!

Drawer Storage – A Great Place For A Spice Rack

I was over at a friend’s house last week, helping out with some holiday baking (Chocolate and Cherry Rugelach – you guys, they were soo good, if I do say so myself!). I always love getting a chance to see how somebody else sets up their kitchen – it’s always a good way to get some new tips! Anyway, my pal Beth doesn’t have wall mounted kitchen cabinets. So, she keeps her spices in a drawer. She told me that for the longest time, she would just toss the spice bottles in there – only to waste time later on looking for bottles that rolled out of order. Now she has a clever rack insert, and everything stays nice and organized. I have to say, it looked pretty dang good!

I found this drawer style spice rack. This one is made from chromed steel, and holds up to 12 spice bottles. I checked, and this rack also comes with 84 labels (most are pre-printed, but there are some blank ones). Plus, this rack is pretty stable – so you can easily take it out of the drawer for marathon cooking sessions, and then plunk it back in when you’re all done. Storing spices in a drawer is a great solution for practically any kitchen. Admit it – you’ve got that one drawer in your kitchen that’s just kind of filled with junk, right? I know I do! So, clean it it out, put in a drawer style rack, and make that drawer into a productive member of your kitchen!
